Parenting Support

Being a parent often requires a 'trial and error' approach, especially as there is no rule book.  Some difficulties might be easy to manage whilst others might be more complicated and many parents try to get it as right as they can.  Parents often learn how to parent from their own experiences of being parented and this can sometimes mean repeating helpful approaches or discarding ones you found unhelpful growing up.

But parenting is not easy and feeling confident is often the first feeling to go when faced with parenting challenges.  I can help parents think about how they can be more successful in their parenting when they are faced with challenges and problems by inviting them to think through what they are already doing and what has worked as well as offering a variety of approaches that might fit the difficulties.

We focus on the following areas in our Parenting Support

  • Boundary setting
  • Behaviour problems
  • School Refusal
  • Divorce
  • Miscommunication
  • Bedwetting
  • Separation
  • Difficulty sleeping
